Sew your own mask - the easy way!
If you have an extra t-shirt or maybe a pair of knit pajama bottoms... You can sew a very quick and easy mask. Of course you know this can't protect you like an N95 mask can, but now that we are supposed to wear one when we're outside... Lay out your fabric - this is one leg of a pair of pajamas, so you will be measuring and cutting through two layers - giving yourself to masks in one cut. I measured and cut a cardboard template, 8.5 inches by 16 inches. I cut the bottom seam off of the pajama leg and cut two loops for the ear ties; they were a little less than 1 inch wide each. I cut the loops at one of the seams, cutting the surging seam off. If you stretch them gently out, the are more than long enough. I took one of my two pieces of 8.5 x 16 in pieces and folded it in half like this (right sides together): I pinned around the three sides that need to be sewn together.
