Super Easy Donuts!
These aren't your Bubbie's Sufganiyot! Here's a new tradition for your Chanukah celebration, or any time! Just a few ingredients, and a few minutes, and you have fresh, delicious donuts!
1 egg (or equivalent substitute)
2 Tbsp granulated sugar (or 1Tbsp Splenda for baking substitute)
1 Tbsp oil
1 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
8 ounces plain yogurt (I recently substituted Greek vanilla yogurt...)
Stir all ingredients together to make the dough.
Drop by teaspoonfuls into boiling oil.
Take them out when they're the perfect shade of donut. :)
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar or chocolate syrup.
Enjoy!
Thanks to my dear friend Jaye for the recipe!
*UPDATE*
I had the honor of making these with a coworker and her 3rd grade class today. We quadrupled the recipe and easily made about 50 donuts. We were able to give each child a donut in two classes!
