Chocolate Caramel Matzah Crunch
Skip your traditional Seder appetizers and munches. Go straight for this dessert! Why? Why not? This recipe is easy and delicious, and I owe it all to my sister! We made it together with my daughter, which was special and super fun! Here it is, with pictures for all the steps!
4-6 matzohs
1 cup butter (2 sticks)
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ cup shredded sweetened coconut
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line cookie sheet with foil.
Line the cookie sheet with the matzah.
Sprinkle on the coconut.
Combine butter and brown sugar in saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture come to a boil.
Boil for 2-4 minutes.
Remove from heat and pour over matzah.
Bake until bubbly, about 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
Let stand for 5 minutes the gently spread chips with a fork.
Place tray in freezer for 5-10 minutes so chocolate can set.
Turn over foil from pan onto cutting board or serving tray. Your Matzah Crunch should now be upside down with the foil on top. The foil should peel right off. Break into pieces and get ready to have the best Passover ever!!!
